Begun in 2001, the Cottonwoods at Dalton Ranch includes 37 single family home sites and 29 townhomes which have a separate HOA, “The Greens at Dalton” within the Cottonwoods HOA. We are a semi-gated, open community surrounded by mountain views and located directly off Scenic Highway 550. Our residents enjoy views of the historic steam train on it’s trips between Durango and Silverton. PJ’s Gourmet Market, Trimble Hardware and Animas Liquors are close by for quick store runs. Downtown Durango is 10 miles south and Purgatory Ski Resort is only 15 miles to the North. Our community hosts the annual Animas Valley Balloon Rally from two adjacent fields.

We offer river access, walking trails and golf cart access to Dalton Ranch Golf Club. Our park is a quiet green-space with a Little Free Library, shaded benches and a pond and is perfect for relaxing, dog playing and meeting neighbors.

Ensure that the HOA covenants and architectural guidelines are adhered to for the common good of the neighborhood

Location

Take 550 North, past Trimble Lane (light) and then turn right onto Hermosa Meadows Road. Take the second right onto North Dalton Ranch Road into The Cottonwoods at Dalton Ranch. The main entrance is accessed by North Dalton Ranch Road off Trimble Lane. This requires gate access that is provided to Cottonwoods HOA residents. The gate functions to control traffic through the neighborhood.
