Animas Valley Balloon Rally – TBD

The annual balloon rally, which our HOA hosts at our Hermosa Meadows field, has become a big event with 22 balloons, many local sponsors, launches each day, tethered rides for kids, balloon glow on Saturday evening and food trucks.  Being able to watch this from our homes or walk to the event is one more thing that makes our neighborhood special. See the schedule of events in the “Members” section.  We will also be adding photos in the “Photo” section.

Here is a quick update on HOA projects.

This past summer we thinned out and cleaned up the trees and bushes in the park concentrating on Aspens that were diseased, in poor health or crowded. The signs at both entrances have been repainted and repaired and the entrance gates and benches repainted.  The flowers and landscape at the entrance looked great this year.  We now have a micro-library in the park next to 2 benches that is regularly refreshed with books.  Please feel free to check one out or leave a new one for others to enjoy. Repair work was done on the white fencing and the brown wood fence along Mahogany Lane was repainted.  The roads were crack filled and we have contracted to repair the asphalt at the entrance to Mid Iron.
